Potato Peelers

Potato Peelers are industrial abrasive peeling machines used in Saudi Arabia for batch removal of potato skins prior to cutting, cooking, or packaging. They are widely installed in factory kitchens, catering units, and food production facilities. With capacities ranging from 5 kg to 10 kg per load and throughput up to 300 kg per hour, these machines support structured pre-processing operations in institutional and commercial environments across the Kingdom.

The ATCOPACK Italy Potato Peelers use a rotating abrasive plate inside a perforated chamber to detach potato skins efficiently. The peeling process is controlled through a mechanical timer, typically running between two and three minutes per cycle. This predictable timing supports production scheduling in high-demand food environments.

In Riyadh and Jeddah processing plants, the equipment is commonly installed between washing areas and dicing or slicing stations. The 5 kg models are suitable for moderate daily volumes of around 140–150 kg/h, while 10 kg variants can reach up to 300 kg/h for larger-scale operations. This flexibility allows procurement teams to match output to kitchen or factory demand.

The stainless steel body withstands frequent washdowns in Saudi food facilities. A front discharge system channels peeled potatoes directly into containers, reducing manual handling. Motor options in both single-phase and three-phase formats allow adaptation to different industrial power configurations across KSA facilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 10 kg model, capable of reaching approximately 300 kg per hour, is generally appropriate for large-scale operations in Riyadh and Jeddah. It supports continuous batch processing in institutional kitchens and factory environments handling high daily potato volumes.

The rotary abrasive plate is designed for repetitive cycles of 2–3 minutes. In Dammam or Jubail industrial kitchens operating long shifts, consistent cycle timing ensures stable output. Routine inspection of the abrasive lining maintains peeling efficiency during continuous use.

The unit requires a stable floor surface, water connection, drainage access, and compatible power supply. In Khobar-based processing facilities, it is commonly positioned near washing areas to reduce transport time between cleaning and peeling stages.

The stainless steel housing and removable internal components allow thorough cleaning after each shift. In large Saudi food production facilities, this supports internal sanitation protocols and compliance with regulatory inspection requirements.

The abrasive chamber accommodates standard commercial potato grades. Operators may adjust batch loading to optimize peeling consistency. This flexibility is useful in Saudi distribution centers handling varying raw material sizes.

The machine includes a protective front unloading guard and controlled mechanical timer operation. Proper use of the lid and adherence to load limits reduce operational risk in busy Saudi factory kitchens.
