CombiMEKI

The CombiMEKI Food Inspection System is an inline quality control platform that combines X-ray contamination detection with automatic checkweighing. It is used in food manufacturing plants and high-throughput packaging lines to ensure both product safety and consistent fill weight. Designed for continuous operation, the system supports inspection windows around 250 × 110 mm and production speeds aligned with industrial food lines across Saudi Arabia.

CombiMEKI supports food producers by consolidating safety inspection and weight verification into one synchronized system. The X-ray unit scans each pack for foreign materials such as metal fragments, glass, or dense plastics, while the integrated checkweigher confirms compliance with declared weight limits.

In large processing facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah, CombiMEKI is often installed downstream of sealing equipment and upstream of secondary packing. The combined architecture reduces conveyor footprint while maintaining full inspection coverage, which is critical for high-output lines serving national distribution.

The system accommodates packaged products up to roughly 250 mm in width and 110 mm in height, with conveyor speeds adjustable between 0.1 and 1.3 m/s. The checkweighing module is capable of verifying up to approximately 200 items per minute, depending on product format. Built with stainless steel frames and enclosed electronics, the system performs reliably in temperature-controlled and semi-humid production environments typical of Saudi food factories.

Frequently Asked Questions

High-throughput facilities in Saudi Arabia often prefer combined systems to reduce line complexity. CombiMEKI allows contamination detection and weight control to happen simultaneously, which helps plants in Riyadh and Jeddah maintain output while meeting strict internal quality and regulatory targets.

Depending on product size and belt configuration, CombiMEKI can inspect close to 200 products per minute. This capacity supports fast-moving food lines common in large-scale Saudi processing plants without creating inspection bottlenecks.

Yes. The system supports recipe-based settings for both X-ray inspection and weight limits. This allows operators to switch between product types with minimal downtime, which is important for factories in Dammam or Jubail running multiple SKUs per shift.

Rejection is synchronized between the X-ray unit and checkweigher, ensuring that only affected items are removed. This controlled rejection reduces false rejects and prevents disruption of upstream and downstream equipment during continuous high-speed operation.

The system operates with X-ray leakage levels below accepted limits and includes interlocks and shielding. Saudi facilities typically integrate it into existing safety procedures, ensuring operators follow standard access controls and routine inspection protocols.
